The age-old question that is first on everyone's mind, who's your favorite team?

I have to say Virginia Tech, I had two cousins play there and I've met several players who were Hokies, but I love the stadium and the style of football they play. Until I go to college they're my favorite team. Then again they may be my favorite college team forever, because Dayton University doesn't have a football team. GO HOKIES!!

UD does have a team but not a major one.

Dayton actually does quite well, for a team that doesn't offer scholarships.
Unless you're talking about another university named Dayton. Several cities throughout the U.S. are called Dayton besides the Wright brothers' home town.

The one in Ohio. I just looked at their athletic site and didn't know they had a football team. Yeah, I guess 5-6 is a good record for team without scholarship players.

It was an off year. Dayton has done failry well the last few years. Mike Kelley is practically a legend at this level.

The other college in Dayton, Wright St. does not have a football team.

Why U-D? I like your reasoning for Va tech and can certainly see why tyou'd root for them. But why would it be the Flyers if their program was bigger. I chose Central Michigan because I went there.

I went with Maryland, though I could also have gone with Northwestern (hopefully my future school), Boston College (both my parents are alumni) or USC (my first favorite school. At least Marquette (my brother's school) doesn't have a football team.

Northwestern would've been my future school too, but it's too darn hard to get in there.

I know, I think it's the hardest DI-A school to get into. Hence the hopefully. And it's also Otto Graham's alma mater.

That's what I don't get. Why not have a team? It seems like a football school to me.

You know, I never really had a taste for Northwestern. I root for Notre Dame (hopefully my future school) and Florida State (if Notre Dame doesn't work out, hopefully I can get into there).

It's not so easy as to just snap your fingers and the team appears. Quite a bit goes on in making such a decision.

Being from the NY area, I've never really been into college football. All my budies from the south can't understand how I can't get into it, as big a sports fan as I am.

I've always watched the bowl games, and some of th marrquis matchups, but not much else. But with the year Rutgers had this year and the excitement it generated, I can see how people can get into it if they have a team to root for.

My vote was for Rutgers, hoping they can build off this last season. They were so close to the BCS....

Marquette is more of a basketball school than a football one (it's Dwayne Wade's alma mater). Most major Catholic schools don't have football programs, the exceptions of course being Boston College and Notre Dame.

2.Youngstown State
3.UMass
4.BC
5.VT

Don't laugh.....the Army Black Knights. I'm in the Army, but even though I don't and never plan on attending West Point, I route for their football team.

Ready to fit me for a straitjacket? (That's a 42 Medium, btw.)

Ohio State.
Followed by Michigan.
:faint: :shhh:

As far as I'm concerned, Michigan can win every game but that one.

It used to be the other way around: I was born in Detroit, eventually transplanted to Ohio.
