New Arizona Cardinals' stadium opening this year. Retractable roof, grass, 63,000 seats...looks like a nice new park, a lot like European soccer-style stadia.

You missed the best part, THE MOVING FIELD. My cousin signed a 3 year deal with them and I'm trying to get out there and see that new stadium.

Very cool. I'll be sure to cheer him on at the MNF game in October.

Nothing against the citizens of Arizona and the Phoenix area, which is a terrific place, but who would spend a gazillion dollars to build a stadium for the idiot Bidwell.
Saw a Cards game at sun devil a few years ago, no complaints at all.

They say people's buns were baking on those aluminum bleachers! You enjoyed the game sitting on those things?

Invested in a seat back with cushion for a few bucks.
Anyway, it wouldn't hurt me to melt some fat off my keester.

:D You're the first person I've heard to say that Sun Devil Stadium was actually good.

Been down to Sun Devil for a few bowl games recently, for obvious reasons.
Sun Devil is a slightly below average college facility. It doesn't really feel college enough to be a Pac 10 stadium and not really NFL enough to be an NFL field. But compared to our NFL parks in Ohio Sun Devil is a total dump. Great setting but the scoreboards are absolutely pathetic, the seats all facing straight out and there are a lot of steps to get to a concourse.

I was with a group of about 7-8 guys, first trip there, we all really enjoyed the place, the big open sky, the rock formations...I guess we are all sick of tailgating on a beautiful fall day in Mo., then going to go sit in a ugly, dark warehouse [the Ed dome] I'm sure it helped that the weather was perfect [mid-80's] but even when it is toasty in PHX, hell, I thought people moved there because they like the heat.
I like college football stadiums, only problem is at college games they can't sell beer.:(
