As you know, the Lions drafted MSU quarterback in the second round of the draft. Since he is my favorite player, I was quite happy. I know he is a back up now, do you think he is a future starter for Detroit, or do you think that he will always be a back up?

Well, I like him too, he's a mobile QB who can be impatient at times. Steve Young pointed out he needed to work on his grip on the football because he hardly throws spirals. Once he refines some of his skills he can start for the Lions. He may be the only choice since Josh McCown was traded to Oakland.
