Before anyone votes Vinitari, consider this. At that point, the Red Sox haven't won a WS since 1918. Bruins havent won since '72. Celtics haven't won since '86. Pats haven't won in forever. The media in NE was getting everyone crazy, and they were desperate. Put it this way: When Borque (former Bruin) won a stanley cup with (heck I don't remember), people started wondering, "should we have a Ray Borque parade?". Yes, that desperate. So when Bledsoe got injured in '01, many NE said "Why Us?" They felt like they were on a path for another failure by the Pats. Until Brady arrives. He leads the team to the playoffs and the Patriots come into the Superbowl through the wildcard, and unbelievable plays and luck which felt like a dream. Then comes the Superbowl, with the Patriots playing the "Greatest Team on Turf" the Rams, who are an absolute monster with Warner, Faulk, Holt, and Bruce in their primes. The Patriots were probably like 10:1 odds that game. So when the Patriots were leading in the first half by 11points, everyone was stunned. But the Rams started coming back and tied the game so it was 17-17. Then, NE got that feeling of "When will it end?" or "Are we really doomed forever?". And then watching the Pats marching down the field with less than a minute to kick a huge field goal, well, it saved NE altogether.

I'm still wondering if people are reading this right. Is wide right really the worst among this group? I'd think it would be closer to the best

Well, looks like WIDE RIGHT wins the #9 spot. The rest move on to the next round.
