I can't seem to find the article now, but I was reading one statistician (not reporter or so called "analyst") who thinks Louisville will be the sleeper champ this year. Extremely dominating in PF/PA last year and most of the team returns.
That would be a sleeper this year. Louisville plays a tough schedule now in a better conference so would get more BCS respect.

For some reason, each season, they lose a game they are supposed to win. Last Year it was USF, who not only beat them, but gave them a real going over,45 -14. This year they play USF, Kentucky and West Virginia at home, which should help.

Louisville is not a bit better than they were when they left C-USA. That might not be true in five years, but for now, they're the same guys. People forget that they only won the C-USA championship once. They went into the BE thinking they'd be the best team there (a lot of people did). West Virginia will clean their clocks as will a few other teams this year.

They have Brian Brohm and Michael Bush coming back. They're backup QB Hunter Cantwell showed he had some talent in the Gator Bowl, but I don't think they have the talent level of West Virginia. I guess we'll see on November 2nd.

It is good to see football grow in popularity at Louisville.
Of course, it will probably never to basketball but who knows?
Louisville is also a very nice city.:D

Louisville is a nice city.
The UL/UK football game is always a lot of fun down there. It's not a national-scale rivalry but in Kentucky it's huge (there was a big controversy 2 yrs ago when Louisville's big radio station decided to carry UK games instead of UL games). It's the only game the UK fans really get excited about and the chance for Louisville to be "Kentucky's team" for a day. There's some great tailgating and the red/blue contrast in fans is really cool.

Looks like they'll have a tougher time finishing high now. Michael Bush just left the game with a broken right leg.

AHHH!!!!  That can't be good, now just rehab and get ready for the NFL:( . It happened to Antonio Cromartie and he still turned out to be a 1st round pick.

McGahee was picked in the first round as well and his knee injury occured in January. If I'm thinking right, shouldn't a broken leg heal in time for the NFL Combine?

I forgot about Willis. It depends on the severity of his injury, if it's real serious he may miss the Combine. I hope not though.

ESPN said it was his knee injury and not a break. If I remeber right it was a torn ligament(not sure which of the big three), which means he likely won't make it to the combine without troubles so the scouts will have to go on just his highlights- much the same as they did for McGahee.
For whatever team that picks him up it was early enough that he will have a little over a year to recouperate from making it likely he could be able to play next year.

There is also a possibility of Bush getting a medical Redshirt this season, and returning to play at Louisville again next year. Could be an option if he feels that his stock in the NFL may drop with not playing, and coming back from serious injury.

I doubt he'll come back after almost leaving last year.

Broken tibia and fibula, nothing about a knee injury.
