I am a little disappointed that he left Philly, he was one of my favourite Eagles. Oh well, I wish him all the best in Az.

Tempe, AZ -- The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Roderick Hood on a five-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Hood (5-foot-11, 196 pounds) appeared in 10 games last season (five starts) for the Philadelphia Eagles and collected 18 tackles (13 solos) and one sack despite missing six games due to injuries. He appeared in 16 games (six starts) in 2005 and collected career highs with 41 tackles (35 solos) and three interceptions to go along with 38 kickoff returns for 900 yards (23.7 yard avg.).

Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Eagles in 2003 out of Auburn, Hood has appeared in 56 games with 13 starts in his career collecting 98 tackles (77 solos), five interceptions, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. The 25-year-old Columbus, Ga., native has also returned 53 kickoffs for 1,236 yards (23.3 yard avg.) and collected 40 special teams tackles during his tenure in Philadelphia.

"Roderick is a bright-eyed guy that seemed very excited to be here. He fits in very well with the organization and I was impressed with him," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said during Hood's visit to Tempe.

How good is he actually, because you saw him so much?

He's a hard case to analyse. For the most part he was used on nickel packages and as a return man, he was only a starter for a short period of time (when Lito got hurt). What he did he did well and throughout his career has has shown alot of improvement.
It's a good signing by the Cards.
