Droughns had a couple good years, but his 2006 was below average. You can probalby blame some of that on the Browns O-line, but I'm not sold on this move. They didn't give much up, but I don't see him as a franchise running back.

With all the big names moving, I would have liked to see them make a run at McGahee or Jamal Lewis. Both are younger than Droughns and much better backs. Or just go with Jacobs. I see Jacobs with more upside then Droughns, but not sure wither can be a full time premier back

If the Giants don't go with Brandon Jacobs as their starting RB they'll be making a HUGE mistake. He may have 5 more years in the league because of his power running style, but for now he needs to start.

Well theyre is a trend in the league to platoon two RB's. The superbowl teams did it as did many others (Patriots, Jets, Jaguars). I guess the primary reason is two different styles of running backs (power and finesse) as well as the frequency of injuries amongst many RB's. I think this is a good safety measure for the Giants.

We'll see, as long as it works for Coughlin & Co.

What will work for them is a good defense. That's what they need to focus on as well as a good o-line. The RB situation can wait.
